Authentic Futures is working with a team lead by Maccreanor Lavington on a masterplan for Romford town centre. The town is set for growth with the arrival of Crossrail and there is already considerable interest in the area from residential and retail developers. This long-term project has demanded extensive consultation and option testing to understand the capacity of the town centre and devise improvements to the transport system. Romford is one of the region’s oldest settlements and retains its historic market place but elsewhere in the town the character is Metroland and post-war. [Ongoing.]
